 Dr. Robert Katz:
Dr. Katz graduated in 1976 with a BS degree in fisheries biology from the University of Michigan. He earned a Master of Science degree in aquaculture and fish health management in 1979 from the University of Idaho. After several years of employment in fisheries and animal nutrition research, Dr. Katz received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Washington State University in 1986.

Dr. Katz received his acupuncture certification through the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society in 1993. He advanced his certification in veterinary Chinese herbal medicine sponsored by the IVAS organization in 1997. He is a current member of AVMA, FVMA, IVAS, AAVA, and AAHA.  



Dr. Raul Ortiz-Umpierre
Dr. Raul Ortiz-Umpierre was born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico and is fluent in Spanish.  He received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from St. George's university in 2005. 

Dr. Ortiz has also received his acupuncture certification through The Chi Institute and China's National Society of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine. 
He integrates traditional medicine along with Chinese medicine for treatments of different ailments.
